Malappuram : Owner of Marunadan Malayali online channel Shajan Skaria was arrested by police. The arrest is in the case registered by Thrikkakara police who had arrived at Nilambur police station as Shajan appeared for questioning there in separate case. The arrest was recorded with Shajan’s bail plea in Thrikkakara case still pending in court.
Shajan Skaria had come to Nilambur station for police questioning in case indicting with fostering religious hate. The case is based on complaint lodged by Skaria - the Chairman of Standing Committee Charirman at Nilambur Municipality. Shajan was served ultimatum from the High Court asking him to appear before the Nilambur station SHO today failing which his anticipatory bail in the case would be canceled. Shajan arrived at the station flanked by local BJP leaders.
