Web Desk‌Updated: Friday May 1, 2020

CM's May Day Message :

Today, the world observes May Day to commemorate workers’ protests for labour rights  The historic Day this year has come at a time when countries of the world are on the edge, grappling with the dreadful pandemic.

Workers are a very duty-bound community. And, in all sectors of work, they are doing the best they can to bring the  deadly Covid-19 spread under control. A big salute to each of them from Kerala, said CM.

The labour class is where this pandemic brought down most misery. As the country locked down  resulting in loss of income, the government in Kerala rose to aid of workers, formulating new schemes to save them from hardship. And we managed to accomplish each set goal owing to the united and supportive nature of our population. Guest workers too were brought into the state’s care fold, with all their basic needs taken care of.

Now, the time has come to push our fight against Covid-19 on  high vigil and caution. Let us move forward as one. May this day serve to boost  our togetherness, said  CM in his May Day greetings to all.
