Kannur : Certain media is throwing up smokescreen around RSS ploy of using teacher to shelter a murder culprit. A section of Congress is almost competing to fix blame on CPI(M) on one hand and laud RSS on other.
CPI(M) worker in Kodiyeri’s Punnoli was brutally murdered by RSS man Nijildas and the pro-RSS lady teacher had sheltered him in utmost secrecy during police manhunt. The teacher has been closely connected with RSS fore three years now and housed Nijildas in her vacant second home with full knowledge of his crime.
The lie being now propagated is that the teacher and her Gulf-employed husband are CPI(M) supporters. Incidentally, the teacher’s defense lawyer is an advocate who consistently appears in court for crimes committed by the RSS workers. Also, this lawyer is representing Nijildas in the case - a clear pointer to which party side the teacher and husband belongs. Local RSS workers stood as bailers in the case.
Upon stepping out of jail, the teacher denied allegations, claiming she had let Nijildas the house on a daily rent basis of Rs 1500 and that she had rental agreement in this regard. However, police are not so convinced.
The teacher had lend her daughter’s SIM card to Nijildas’s wife. And Nijildas made frequent calls to that SIM from another number. Food and other essentials were delivered to Nijil during late hours of night indicating, the teacher had known of him as murder on lookout by cops.
A Bond That Began During Namajappam
The teacher and husband took to RSS camp during violent protests Sangh Parivar conducted against women entry in Sabarimala. Her job as teacher at RSS- controlled Amrita Vidyala strengthened the bond further. During Covid, the teacher and husband were on forefront of anti-govt protests conducted in violation of pandemic protocols.
Hideout Close To CM’s Home ?
Media latched on to CM’s native home to falsely implicate CPI(M). Manorama’s endeavour in this direction includes describing the hideout location as “through a lane just 200 meter up from CM’s house”. In fact, there is no lane that connects the two houses. The main road is the only link between the two homes, the gap of which is over 500 meters.
Moreover, it is not a house CM lives in permanently. Rather CM visits the house only on special occasions, the most recent stay being during Party Congress and Vishu. There is no consistent police patrolling in the area, nor police picketing. The culprit lived in a house located in a isolated stretch with high compound walls. The setting provides cover from prying eyes and public – a fact that media conveniently ignores.
