The vigilance and anti-corruption bureau officials had arrested  CJ Elsy employed as University Asst. at the university. She works in the MBA section of the examination wing.  The concerned girl, an MBA student from 2014 batch, had seven papers pending which she cleared last year. However, on inquiring  with Elsy on the results, the girl was told she failed in some subjects but would be helped with clearing for a bribe of Rs 1.25 lakhs. The girl paid  the amount in varied installments into Elsy’s bank account at the University College campus. But later on, the girls checked the published results  and learnt of how she was taken for a ride. Elsy promised to issue her provisional certificate for an additional sum of Rs. 50,000 which she later reduced to Rs 30,000. It was during  payment of the first installment of Rs 15,000 toward this amount that Elsy landed in  Vigilance net.
