Thiruvananthapuram:The high drama of dousing kerosene and threatening suicide in front of Secretariat was enacted by miscreants who sneaked into the rank-holders’ crowd as part of conspiracy, said police in their report. The plan aims to create riots at places around the state in view of upcoming elections, and BJP and Congress have reached select workers to the capital for the purpose. According to Intelligence report on the matter, the conspiracy was hatched at high-end home of a Congress leader.
LDF government that made record recruitments via PSC had extended the rank-list expiry to six more months after considering grievances of rank holders. However, caught up in misleading propaganda of certain pro-Opposition media, some of the rankholders are staging protest at the Secretariat. Taking advantage are handful of miscreants, who have sneaked into the demonstrations in a bid to sensationalise the issue and create law and order problems. On Sunday, Intelligence had tipped the city Commissioner on likelihood of some persons soaking themselves in kerosene and threaten suicide.
The report also warned of that antisocial elements involved could likely make a pawn of rankholders at the site. The warning helped police bust the suicide hoax of UDF workers who brought 3 cans of kerosene at the demonstration site on Monday. Of this, Youth Congress worker Biju doused himself with kerosene from one of the cans and emptied the remaining two onto the floor. If there occurred an ignition at the time, the result would have been a massive disaster.
Biju is son of Congress Mandalam president Krishnan in Palakkad and does not feature any rank list at all. The Monday drama entailing suicide hoax was rehearsal of sneak attacks in store, said Intelligence Chief in his report adding that, there was likelihood of acts akin to KSU’s "compass etching" drama at University College unfolding once again. A few strangers have been found hanging around the demonstration site for some days now. Information on their identities and and background, has been handed to the police by the Intelligence,
