Kochi MP Hibi Eden on Wednesday inaugurated office for Bodhi 2022 at GCDA premises in Kochi. The event comes in prelude to the urban development conclave the GDA will host on 9 - 10 October. A conclave set such as Bodhi is imminent for Kochi’s development, said the MP speaking at the inaugrual
Though Kochi grew leaps and bounds, we never did have an urban plan at any point of her growth. Instead, we progressed only by giving temporary solutions to the problems we faced. "I hope Bodhi 2022 National Urban Conclave to be hosted by GCDA will put forward a scientific and farsighted approach to Kochi's unique issues and I offer my unconditional support for the successful conduct of the conclave," he said.
He also urged for lending more power to GCDA like its counterparts enjoy elsewhere in other INdian states.
K Chandran Pillai, Chairman, GCDA, who presided over the function said in spite of political differences, all should stand together for the development of Kochi and Bodhi will create a blueprint for Kochi's way forward.
