Thiruvananthapuram : With rains raging across the state and water in Mullaperiyar dam rising, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to MK Stalin calling attention to the worrisome situation. The letter requests the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to bring down the water level at dam most urgently, as rains continue to wreck havoc and endanger lives.
There should be immediate measures to take away water and ease the dam’s currently strong outflows. For cautionary purposes, Kerala should be notified on steps initiated, at least 24 hours prior, the letter read. Concerned authorities should be instructed appropriately with regard to this, said CM in the letter.
