Thiruvananthapuram : With regard to complaint relating to attempt to murder and falsely indict Kuttanad MLA Thomas K Thomas, the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said further proceedings in the case have been pursued CM was replying to urgent motion moved by MLA . Vincent.
The complaint says a man named Reji Cherian tried to lure the Thomas’s driver into murdering or trapping the MLA in fake case. The complaint was lodged with State DGP on the 7th and the same was forwarded to ADP in charge of Law and Order. The complaint was processed and handed to Police Chief of Alappuzha and further proceedings have been initiated by the Ambalapuzha Deputy Superintendent, CM told the House.
With regard to the earlier complaint lodged by MLA, there were thorough investigations made and police came to a conclusion that nothing further left undone. No further action was found required with regard to that complaint, said CM, adding that Kerala Police is role model to the entire country. Competency in law enforcement, excellent detection and prevention of crimes, utilising state-of-art systems for public wellbeing and effectively fighting drug trade are all features of present Kerala Police, said CM
Several cases considered unsolvable were brought to justice by Kerala police which also been ensured that perpetrators did not escape conviction, said CM. Coming back to MLA’s complaint the police have initiated investigations and taken steps to ensure adequate security for the MLA, CM added.
