Thiruvananthapuram : The suspect held in Kattaka for attempting murder using snake has a criminal history, said police. The accused, Keechu, is a alcohol addict and has been a suspect in murder earlier. Police will today file application seeking his two-day custody i to find out if there might be more persons involved in supplying him with the snake.

The incident in question took place early morning . Keechu tried to kill Ambalathilkala native who confronted his advances toward his daughter. In turn, Keechu let on a cobra onto the sleeping man through an open window. Police arrested Keechu later at night.
