Thiruvananthapuram :Crime Branch ADGP Sreejith will coordinate investigations on illegal tree felling in Wayanad’s Muttil village.
Planned to be looked into is the conspiracy under cover of government order. The Chief Secretary issued order to department heads to depute competent officials into the probe team.
According to reports, more than 100 ancient rosewood and teak trees were illegally logged in Muttil, even as they were marked as “reserved” meaning owned by the government, on private properties.
