Thiruvananthapuram : Public Education Minister V Sivankutty demanded that the central government be willing to reconstitute the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) that’s now being led by vested interests with no thought to advancing children's education.
NCERT should include representatives from all states, the minister said.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital, the minister said, school education should uphold constitutional values. The minister also clarified that States are not obliged to implement NCERT decisions outside purview of academic interests.
