Thiruvananthapuram : The Thiruvananthapuram Corporation prepares to conduct detailed on the letter falsely rumoured to be sent by mayor, in connection with various job vacancies at the corporation. The said letter, asking for candidate recommendations, was not sent by either Mayor or her office, said Corporation authorities, adding that, it not customary for such letter to be sent at all.
Following the controversy, the Corporation prepares to make legal proceedings in the case. Also, the open recruitment for the said posts shall be scrapped and placements made through Employment Exchange only, the Corporation said.
Context : A letter surfaced on media that is falsely made out to be authored by the mayor. Addressed to CPI(M) District Secretary, the letter seeks a recommended list of candidates for job vacancies at the Corporation.
