Kanjangad: The new building built for District Ayurveda Hospital in Padanakad will inaugurate tomorrow. The inaugural ceremony will be conducted by Health Minister KK Shailaja at 10.30 morning, Friday. The building was constructed by including it in the development package for the district. Rs 4 crore went into costs for the 100-bed new facility.
The hospital currently has 50 beds for in-patients. The 3-storeyed annexure adds 100 more plus an office room, laboratory, physiotherapy room, Oushadi outlet, minor treatment room, panchakarma room etc
The new building also has doctors’ duty room, nurses’ duty room, staff duty room, rest room, 25 bed-wards, bystanders’ rest room, a separate toilet block and 8 bathroom-attached rooms on the 3rd floor.
