Sastamkotta : A 22-year-old married woman was found hanging under suspicious circumstances at her husband house in Sasthamkotta. The deceased, Dhanya, is wife of Rajesh residing in Rajesh Bhavan, Nedivilla Manikyam Colony, Kunnathur. The couple were married two months back.
Dhanya was discovered hanging from window bars of the house at 4.30 am this morning. The family took her to the hospital but death had already occurred. Dhanya is daughter of Shanmukhdas and Lillykutty couple from Dhanya Bhavanam.
Rajesh, a Christian, is a tipper truck driver and had married Dhanya belonging to the Hindu community. Although both their families initially opposed the inter-faith relationship, they came around to accepting them in marriage that took place on 7 May.
Rajesh is in police custody. He found an already hanging Dhanya at the window, Rajesh told police.
