Kochi : Saiju Thankachan, the second accused in POCSO case related to No. 18 Hotel has turned himself over to police. The surrender Monday morning, before Kochi Metro CI, comes after both High Court and Supreme Court turned down his anticipatory bail plea.
Meanwhile, first accused in the case, Roy Vayalatt, is scheduled to appear in court today and the third accused, Anjali Rimadevi, has been put on notice to appear for questioning. She is required to come to Crime Branch office in Kochi on Wednesday.
The case revolves around attempted rape of a minor girl from Wayanad at the now infamous No. 18 Hotel, The hotel and its activities came under police radar following deaths of Miss Kerala and runner up, Ansi Kabeer and Anjana who died in a car crash after their vehicle was allegedly pursued at high speed by Saiju Thankachan.
