Honourable Governor

I am in receipt of your letter last midnight asking, why references against CAA were included in the policy statement speech? While I read the letter with utmost diligence, most matters referred in the letter have been answered  in detail before. This brief letter comes in the wake of your policy statement speech .

Your speech on govt policy, should lend space to the grave concerns expressed by State govt over Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA). Article 176 stipulates that the policy statement speech shall be premised on suggestions and advices of the State Assembly. It is  therefore my earnest request that the policy statement speech be read out in its entirety - without appendages to expand, without striping out to avoid.

Pinarayi Vijayan

Chief Minister
