Thiruvanantapuram : It is fairly known who is behind the unspoken ban imposed on Shashi Tharoor, said K Muraleedhran MP. What happened yesterday should never have happened, said Muraleedharan, adding that, ‘all I wish to say is that may it never happen in future.”
Muraleedharan also said “I know of all that happened. However, I shall not let it out.”
Those that conspired are ones who do not like Tharoor’s engagement in national politics, said Muraleedharan without naming anybody in particular. However, he let on vague clue. Those who plotted are ones that got CM’s dress stitched for themselves, said Muraleedharan. Since the matter is an inside one, I would rather not divulge further, the MP added.
Context : The Youth Congress in Kozhikode backed off from conducting a seminar it had invited Tharoor on Sunday and instead handed the event onto Jawahar Youth Foundation. The move is seen as a result of discreet orders from the party’s state leadership against hosting Tharoor at any event during his statewide tour.
