Thiruvananthapuram :Heavy rains continue unabated leaving trails of damage and stranded communities across the state. With this, authorities have restored Red Alert for eight districts starting Pathanamthitta up to Palakkad and Kannur. It is Orange Alert for Kollam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kasaragod and Yellow Alert for Thiruvananthapuram.
Rain-triggered landslides and floods have killed 18 so far and displaced thousands.
