Thiruvananthapuram : Opposition Leader VD Satheeshan on Sunday responded to Oomen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala’s accusation that the DCC Presidents List was prepared with adequate discussions orconsultation. Never before have such extensive talks held, shot back Satheeshan in his response while speaking the reporters.
Our coming indicates there would be changes; there would be newer functioning style . It is not possible to prepare a list that appeases all; there would be no yielding to unwarranted pressure; back in 2011, when after being assured of being made minister until that noon, I just went away laughing when it didn’t come through; new leadership is now here; apportioning like in the past will not work now; any list is bound to raise some disagreement, Satheeshan told media.
The list is not one that I and Sudhakaran compiled, seated in a corner; if a list split between two leaders is all that was needed, what was the need for us to be, Satheeshan taunted. There are now changes to the practice continued over past 18 years, he added.
