Thiruvananthapuram: Apetite for business is not created by attracting private investments alone; It can be achieved by strengthening public sectors and reviving traditional industries too; said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan speaking at inaugural of BPCL plant - an event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. In the past four years, the state govt has been working to expand industries in Kerala, CM added
CM’s clarification of Kerala policy comes amid center’s active efforts to sell BPCL despite strong opposition from the state government and other quarters. Kerala has always shown willingness to cooperate with centre’s plans, said CM further in his speech. Kochi has become a major tourist destination - pivotal to the state’s core economy. The international cruise terminal has proved helpful for tourism. All projects inaugurated in Kochi are the best examples of joint efforts worked by centre and state.
