Kollam : Even as heated debates continue over who the DCC President should be, poster protest against MP Kodikunnil Suresh spread through Kollam. He came under district fire for his recommendation of KPCC secretary Rajendraprasad as the new DCC president.

There is also growing criticism against Rajendraprasad. Comments included - “Place DCC President position into active hands", . "Rajendraprasad is old and too sick,” and “Why DCC post for 78-year-old who can barely afford to stand ?.”
Protest posters against Oomen Chandy came pasted around Kottayam. The posters titled "Save Congress" accused him of nominating drug peddlers and damning characters in Congress for the DCC top post. “Will Oomen Chandy prove to be the proverbial terminator for Congress?, read some posters. Currently on list for Kottayam DCC President post are two names - KPCC Secretary Natakam Suresh and DCC General Secretary Ujin Thomas.
