Thiruvananthapuram : Noted novelist and short story writer Sarah Thomas has died aged 88. The end came at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. Sarah is recipient to several honours including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi award. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 pm at Patur Marthoma Church Cemetery.
Sarah has about twenty novels to her credit.e, publishing her first noval 'Jeethuvam Enna Nadi' at agef 34. Sarah Thomas's novel 'Muripaddull' was later made into a movie by PA Bakker Manimuzhakkam. The film won awards at both state and national levels. Novels like Asthamayam, Pavizhamut and Archana have also been theme for films.
