Online Booking: Fake Websites Rampant, Says KSRTC

Web Desk(Tvm)Updated: Wednesday Sep 20, 2023

Thiruvananthapuram : Fake websites  in the name of KSRTC Swift are notoriously rampant, said KSRTC and urged passengers to be cautious  of what they might be paying for.

What to look for?:  The only official website for KSRTC buses is
onlineksrtcswift.com . Check for the word ‘https’ in the address bar, the “s” being “security” of website - a  lack of which means the site is insecure. Also look out for Trust seals and if the site you are on carries certification at bottom of its page. There are markers of authenticity(eg. ©2023, All Rights Reserved, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation – KSRTC).

Besides, legitimate websites have office details including its physical address and contact number. Be wary of websites that provide only online addresses like e-mail etc. Sites scripted in poor grammar and spelling errors are also indications that they are potentially fake. Use only official website for all booking purposes, cautions KSRTC.
