Thiruvananthapuram : Virtual classes for the new academic year begins with greetings from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, marking what would be a whole new learning experience.
“Our children are embarking their new academic year. They cannot however travel to schools owing to the prevalent Covid-19 conditions. As alternative, the government has made digital arrangements that will enable students to learn from home. The new school year takes off with commencement of online classes . These classes will also be made available on YouTube. My good wishes to all for the new academic year with its new mode of learning”
School gates will continue to remain closed and learning would transition to online classes titled “First Bell” on Victers Channel. For those who have no smart phone or broadband and television facilities, efforts are on to deliver virtual classes for up to Plus II from Std I, at varied timings. The Education Department will prepare a list of students who do not log in for classes today and make arrangements for digital reach. The Department will seek assistance from Kudumbasree network to work out such arrangements via Anganwadis and schools.
