Thiruvananthapuram: PC George claimed he has seen Oomen Chandy, who was Chief Minister then, under suspicious circumstances inside the CMO(Chief minister’s office). Recalling the incident, George said it was 10.30 at night and Joppan was the only person stationed outside the office at that time. That is the incident that led to Oomen Chandy’s hostility for him since, said PC George.
Testifying against Oomen Chandy in a vigilance case escalated his enmity further, said George. Oomen Chandy is the biggest-ever crook in politics and came to power by engineering the downfall of Karunakaran and Antony, said PC George. Chennithala cannot hope to become chief minister for so long as Oomen Chandy is alive, he added.
