Pathanamthitta : Mahila Congress General Secretary lodged complaint with the district police chief accusing the DCC General Secretary Adv R. Soji Mezhuveli of making death and outraging her modesty. The incident, the complaint read, took place at DCC meeting in Pathanamthitta.
Mahila Congress General Secretary Laly John said she was subject to such humiliation several times in the past. At one time, Sijo allegedly said he would shave, roll and pack her up. Laly said since the accused is member of her own party and also her being a woman, she was hesitant to take up the mater with any authority.
In the meeting held on the 15th, Laly talked about this and Adv. Sijo rushed menacingly at her threatening revenge, the complaint read. Laly also stated that Sijo shouted using vulgar language The Mahila Congress leader has sought protection from harm and redressal to her grievance in her complaint.
According to the complaint, the attack on 15th took place in the presence of Congress Political Affairs Committee member PJ Kurian, KPCC General Secretary MM Nazir and District President Satish Kochuparampil. That lines up all of DCC members including prominent leaders present at the meeting as witnesses in a case that goes to prove not even Mahila Congress leader is safe in a DCC meeting.
