Kochi: Palarivattom bridge that lend respite to the public, though only for a while, is now a sore in their minds, said High Court on Monday. Palarivattom derived its name from ‘pakalnarivattom’ - a place where foxes did rounds even in broad daylight. Present situation make people wonder if those foxes have now come to be replaced by corrupt humans.
In any case, we’re better off with foxes than corrupt persons, hence, Vigilance should conduct proper probe and reclaim Palarivattom’s lost name. It is better for a place to take its name after foxes than be known by name of corrupt men.
The observations were spelt by Justice PV Kunjikrishnan as he dismissed bail plea submitted by former Muslim League minister, Ibrahim Kunju’.
