Thrissur :All four of Peechi dam shutters in Thrissur were raised by 2 inches following water levels rising up to 76.55 meter inside the reservoir.
The inflow of water increased substantially due to heavy rains in the dam’s catchment area.
Following massive floods of 2018, maximum upper rule curve was determined for water levels at each dam. As excess water drains out the shutters, authorities asked residents along the riverbank to stay on alert.
