Thiruvananthapuram : The Speaker on Tuesday admitted Opposition’s adjournment motion on the gold smuggling row. The topic shall be discussed by the House this noon over a 2-hour duration. The Chief Minister signaled favour saying since the public would be interested to know of it, the topic may be discussed The discussion will begin noon 1 pm.
The motion was presented by MLA Shafi Parambil claiming the Vigilance Director and intermediaries attempted to have Swapna change her IPC - 164 statement so as to sabotage the gold smuggling case.
