Angamali, ERNAKULAM : Too women walking along National Highway were killed after a pickup van hit them in Angamali’s Athani killing both instantly. The deceased were both Nedumbassery natives and identified as Sheeba Satheesan(50) and Mariamma(52).
Sheeba and Mariamma worked at canteen of Camco company in Kochi. The tragic accident happened at 7 am Monday at Uturn near Kamkoc when the two women were walking from home to workplace that was one-and-half km away from home while the pickup, that came with pharma load from Tamil Nadu, was headed for Kochi. Both women died on the spot.
Angamali Fire Rescue personnel reached the spot. The bodies await postmortem at Angamali Taluk hospital.
