Kalpetta: The hero of the masses will reach Wayanad today to ensure continued rule for this government. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan - the leader who lit the beacon of development, put up great wall fending off disasters, wiped tears of the poor and protected Kerala with vigil and care - will inaugurate campaigns in three constituencies in the district. Arrangements are in place for the crowds to accord a rousing welcome to their hero.
The first stop is slated at Mananthavady where after a press conference at 9.30, CM will address a campaign rally at Govt. Vocational Higher Secondary School at 10.30 am. From there, CM will leave for Chillyode at 11.30 where he will address another gathering at Gandhi Junction. Campaign rally at SKAG school ground in Kalpetta is timed at 3 pm afternoon.
LDF is way ahead of in the election campaign drive and the arrival of Chief Minister will add to the zeal. CM had come to the district a month ago to announce the Wayanad package - the schemes of which were commenced shortly after. The district hospital in the was upgraded to Medical College. The government also announced the 7000-crore rupees package for comprehensive development of Wayanad.
The district’s candidates - AR Kelu(Manathavadi), MS Viswanathan(Batheri), MV Sriams Kumar(Kalpetta) - have endeared themselves to the people of Wayanad and continue to receive warm reception at every event site. They are seeking people’s mandate for continued rule in state, although many respond saying , there is no need to ask, the votes are meant only for LDF. There is no corner left untouched by the government’s development projects. All that people wish for is continued tenure for this government.
