Thiruvananthapuram : Of the total 4,25,427 reserved for Plus I admissions, 3.61,137 pass outs have gained admissions under the centralised allotment system so far. The remaining 64,290 seats will be open for the second supplementary allotment starting Tuesday. If there still occurs a shortage situation, additional batches or arrangements shall be set up to ensure that each student secures admission, the data on which shall be collected at Taluk levels. After the first allotment, there remained a total of 70,307 including merit seats of 10,600.
Following news on Deshabhimani of 17,788 seats lying vacant in management quota after the first allotment, the school managements started to update the admission figures pertaining to aided management seats, into the Single Window Admission system. Soon, the aggregate vacant seat numbers reduced from 70,307 to 64,290 as on Saturday evening.
Post the first Allotment in Malappuram, there were 13,060 vacant seats. That number now stands reduced to just 1363 with admission into management quota got underway after uploading onto Plus One Single Window portal. Seats Vacant seats pertain to 583 in the Science stream, 361 in Humanities and 419 for Commerce.
