Thiruvananthpuram : The Education Dept recommended to government for allocation of 97 additional batches toward ongoing Plus I admissions in State. The additional batches would l be assigned for northern districts from Palakkad to Kasaragod.
It was announced earlier there would be additional batches sanctioned to northern districts once the second supplementary allotment for 1st year Higher Secondary admissions was over. Additional batches will be set up only in regions where numbers of un-enrolled students remain high meaning, more batches would come into being districts of Malappuram and Kozhikode.
Students will be allowed opportunity to switch subjects and schools of their preference, but only after additional batches come into being. Also, students who have already secured admissions will also be allowed that option at the time.
