Thiruvananthapuram : Prime Minister’s statement that benefits given to people would be liability to the country is a call for economic policies for the corporates and PM saying that development of corporate is development of the country is challenge toward people, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan who also said there should arise strong protest against this.
Awareness that a country is its people living there should be the guide to any ruling authority . It is primary duty of a government is plan schemes to ensure wellbeing of its people. In that, it is important that special consideration be given to people who are downtrodden socially and economically. The concept of equality should be guide to any ruler. However, PM’s proclamation is an open retreat from all this, said MV Govindan.
The polices being implemented to favour Adanis and Ambanis are creating wide disparity in the country. And, to prevent people from seeing how wide this growing gap is, the government will not publish figures in time. There is growing protest in all sectors across the country against these policies. The communal riots the Central government incites across the country are aimed to weaken these protests, said MV Govindan in his statement.
