Policeman Suspended In Kottayam For Stealing Mangoes

Kottayam : Policeman who stole mangoes from a fruit stall in Kanjirapally has been put on suspension. The cop caught in the unexpected adventure, so to say, is Civil Police Officer from Idukki AR Camp, PV Shihab - a native of Vandanpathal.

The suspension order came from District Police Chief VU Kuriakose and said the incident has shamed Kerala police in public eyes.

A theft of 10 kilo mangoes was reported from a fruit stall in Kanjirapally on 30 September. Police examined CCTV images of the robbery little expecting to stumble on one of their own.
