Thrissur : Mortal remains of Junior Warrant Officer Pradeep, killed in IAF air crash in Tamil Nadu, has be flown homeward, landing first at Combatore-Thrissur Airbase. From there, the body is being ferried amid a convoy of floreted Army vehicles to his residence in Ponookkara where it will be cremated with full military honours.
Before the final resting, the mortal remains shall be kept at Puthoor Govt. High School for public homage.
Pradeep was one among 13 victims of the IAF helicopter crash tragedy that killed India’s top General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat between Coimbatore and Wellington in Tamil Nadu on 9 Dec. A tri-service investigation is underway to determine the cause behind the crash.
