Kochi:The High Court upheld recommendation for Priya Varghese’s appointment as Associate Professor in Kannur University. The Division Bench set aside the Single Bench verdict handed by Justice Devan Ramachandran.
The Division Bench comprised Justice AK Jayashankar Nambiar and Justice Mohammad Niaz CP. The Single Bench had ruled to reconsider the recommendation for the post, citing UGC norms mandated eight years of teaching experience and that Priya Varghese fell short of that period. The Division Bench overturned that verdict based on error on part of the Single Bench.
