Kannur : K Sudhakaran inches closer to freedom from Congress, wrapping the intent in a letter that reportedly reads, “am ready to quit post as KPCC President in the wake of crisis over pro-RSS remarks" .

With the letter courting controversy, Sudhakaran faction came forth in  total denial. VD Satheesan too clamoured to save face saying, letter with such content does not exist.

Meanwhile, there is wide discontent in Congress and UDF circles over what’s now become Sudhkaran’s growing declaration of RSS love. The problem is not resolved by expressing regret alone,  lashed out K Muraleedharan. When controversy first broke, the Opposition Leader VD Satheesan too had evaded justifying the incident.

Context : K Sudhakaran revealed how he had helped RSS to set up multiple branches at locations deemed impossible before. At the event held in Kannur, he also said he would switch to BJP whenever he thought time was ripe.

To justify his fixation, he went so far as to draw on Nehru.  Nehru  appointed RSS leader Shyamkumar Mukherjee as minister in the cabinet, said Sudhakaran - a parallel that drew flak from both inside and outside Congress.
