Kottarakara : The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, has called a high-level meeting with regard to added protection for healthcare workers and professionals. Topics at meeting will include formulating of new law in this regard.
The emergency meeting is slated to begin at 3:30 pm today in Kottarakkara and will see attendance from the Health Minister, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Health Secretary, Health Secretary, Legal Secretary, Director of Medical Education, State Police Chief, ADGPs and heads of other relevant departments.
The meeting is being held in the wake of the senseless killing of 23-year-old medical intern Dr. Vandana Das by a patient brought in by police at Taluk hospital in Kottarakara on Wednesday.
