Kottayam : There would be clarity on quite some things once Puthupally byelection is over, said Chief Minster Pinarayi Vijayan. Puthupally bypoll has become a focal point  for the state right now, said CM, inaugurating the byelection convention held in Puthupallly town to ensure victory for DF candidate Jaick C Thomas.

The election will take into consideration the  development in Puthupally as compared to other places around the State. Some wish for this to  not happen. Even so, everybody is aware of existing condition of the constituency. Problems besieging Puthupally will be taken in account this election time.

Development is part of commitment to one’s land. Kerala was disappointed on this count seven year years ago. There took place no development during the UDF tenure, including the National Highway that failed to make headway. The LDF government came and  Edamann - Koch highway a reality. The State has come a long way since.

Before 2016, it was believed nothing could ever happen here. That notion  changed once LDF came to power. The LDF government overrode all obstacles. It was mismanagement by UDF in both tenures that caused delay to National Highway happening here. Finally, NH became a reality with coming of the LDF.

UDF was reluctant to implement the GAIL pipeline project. That was made possible by the LDF government in 2016. Now gas is transported to Mangalore via the pipeline. Cooking fuel from it has reached several homes in Kerala to. So are some factories that use it for fuel, said CM.
