THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The Cantonment Police filed a case against former DGP TP Senkumar for allegedly making threats to a journalist at Trivandrum Press Club on Friday.

According to the journo, Kadavil Rishad, Senkumar and a few others cornered and threatened him at the Press Club, where he had come to cover the meet. The  case against Senkumar also names BDJS National Secretary Subash Vasu

The  press conference on Friday was themed against SNDP General Secretary Vellapally Natesan. The former top cop lost his cool when quizzed on Ramesh Chennithala’s recent statement that, appointing Senkumar as DGP was a mistake on his part.

Irked at the reference, Senkumar  unleashed insults on Rishad and the men around him  tried to push the journalist out  the hall.  Apart from TP Senkumar and Subash Vasu, eight others - unnamed but identifiable - have been charged for the alleged attack.
