Rahul Gandhi, Yogi Share Identical Anti-Left Sentiment; No One Need To Hope Fooling People of Kerala: CM

Thiruvananthapuram:
Congress and BJP are united in their conspired propaganda against Kerala, which is  probably why Rahul Gandhi and Yogi Adityanath sound identical in their speeches made in Kerala, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

Rahul Gandhi has come to Kerala and is resorting to unusual methods. He rides tractor for the farmers and swims in sea for the fishermen. I am thankful for the kind of keenness  Rahul has for Kerala, said CM.

According to  a report on Jan 16th by a national news media, roughly 70 farmers have died lost at the  venue of farmers’ protests in Delhi. So,  it is highly appreciated that Rahul Gandhi turns a blind eye on their protest that quakes the nation and is in Kerala with zeal, to demonstrate his backing for  farmers here, said CM.

It was in the wake of neo-liberalism policies of  1990, that globally-shocking farmer suicides began in India.  It exposed the farmers to unjust competition and driving them to suicide, by withdrawing  governmental support the farm community  had enjoyed up to then. According to statistics of National Crime Records Bureau, at least 3 lakh farmers have since ended their lives. The tragedy continues. The cause to that lies in policies Congress implemented and still seek to advance, said CM.

Rahul should at least inquire what is happening in his constituency of Wayanad ?  How did coffee and pepper farming - the district’s backbone -  go to ruins ? According to  famous journalist, P Sainath, who informed the world of India’s agriculture crisis, Wayanad suffered a loss of at least Rs 6000 crores in coffee and pepper farming alone, in the first 4 to 5 years of  2000. It resulted in en masse suicides by farmers and farm workers. Without an understanding of  this, it is impossible to grasp why farmers even , under frozen temperatures, have to battle death to fight their cause, said CM.

All that is witnessed up to now are consequences of anti-farmer  polices the  Congress  first  introduced  to the  country. Congress’s hands are tainted with blood of farmers in lakhs who laid down their life. Also, the tragedy of orphaned families equivalent to that number, should also be remembered and Rahul Gandhi should unconditionally apologise for crimes done in the past. The need of the hour is to effect corrections to these policies. The country, in other words, calls for new counter mechanism . And, does Rahul have the will to do make such amends? That’s something people look up to.

Not just Rahul, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister visited Kerala and spoke at length here. He labeled Kerala as a backward state and that everything was amiss here. The state is ridden with corruption and anarchy, was another of his theory. Rahul’s speech is a varied version of the same thing. To be saying that Kerala, a state  with such high levels of education and elated culture is land of anarchy,  points to lack of knowledge on the society here.

This government is one that worked systematically to eradicate corruption in the state, the benefit of which is being experienced by the public at large. Kerala is country’s least corrupt state.  The Corruption Survey of 2019 carried out  the Centre for Media Studies,  Transparent International India and Local Circles, named Kerala as the least corrupt state of India while a BJP MLA himself admitted Uttar Pradesh to be the country’s most corrupt state. That was MLA Shyamprasad’s admission in July of 2020. Later in, 2021 Minister for Electricity, Sreekant Sarma, said most corruption pertained to his portfolio, said CM
