Thiruvananthapuram : Rains intensify and the IMD has warned of heavy downpours to last up to Wednesday. Seven districts have been issued with Yellow Alert for today namely, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki. Heavy downpour refers to rainfall between 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours.
Districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha are on Yellow Alert tomorrow and districts of Kollam and Pathanamthitta on Monday.
Public have been advised caution as rains are set to get heavy and asked to cooperate with authorities if need be to shift them to secure places.
