Thiruvananthapuram : With rains getting heavier across the state, 6 districts have been put on orange alert – Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki. The Meteorology Dept has forecast heavy downpours up to 15th of October.
The heavy rains experienced by several states are being caused by cyclonic activity involving 2 separate depressions resulting in cyclone and whirlwinds there. Rains would be more intense for Kerala owing to building depression that would complete formation in Bay of Bengal by Wednesday.
