Thiruvananthapuram : The Indian Meteorological Dept(IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in Kerala over the next few days. The Dept has also warned of high winds that could gust up to 30 - 40 kmph.
Severn districts are put on Yellow Alert today - Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad , Kannur and Kasaragod.
It is Yellow Alert for districts of Ernakulam, Idukki and Malappuram tomorrow. The Disaster Mgt Authority has asked public to be cautious of thunderstorms expected to strike at places. Isolated rain and strong winds are also forecast as likely in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod late evening and into the night.
