Idukki : Removing stones marking track perimeter will not stop K-Rail project from happening, said CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. People will shun those trying to prevent development. UDF should refrain from these kinds of act, said Kodiyeri at media briefing.

Media relayed  falsified news  claiming it as  Idukki Sammelanam happening. News reports  claimed one among the delegates suggested  need for  an exclusive minister for the Home portfolio. No such thing happened at the meeting. The media simply propagated  false newsfeed handed by someone, said Kodiyeri.

The state Police Force comprises 50,000 individuals. Very few among them  commit lapses. Strict action is initiated against erring persons. The government never attempts to shield the guilty. Kerala police force is the best of its kind in the country. Police here are able to crack all major cases. In   cases probed by CBI, has the agency  up on anything more than police did ? What new findings were made in Walayar or  Peria cases?, asked Kodiyeri.

There’s nothing new about High Court observing  lapses on police side. The government typically examines such observations and takes appropriate action.

CPI(M) and CPI are two Left establishments that work unitedly.  A difference of view in some contexts does not mar that relationship. Media does not have to imagine it that way, said Kodiyeri.
