Thiruvanananthapuram: Aid to the tune of Rs 567.72 crores have been disbursed against Covid conditions via various welfare boards, said Minister of Labour and Education, V Sivankutty. Rs 357.39 crore in remittances were paid in the first phase and Rs 210.33 disbursed in the second phase, informed TP Ramakrishnan, MM Mani, Murali Perunelli and V Joji. Computerisation and online money transfer facilities are being effected across boards to raise their functional efficacy. Database and supporting software will also be set up to digitalise records pertaining to workers.
Guest App Coming
Guest App will come into being for welfare and other aspects relating to guest workers in state, said Minister V Sivankutty. All facilities will be set up toward benefiting guest workers, said the Minister in response to queries raised by ET Tyson, Si[a; GS Jaylal and P Muhammad, Muhasin.
4.63 Lakh Higher Studies Seats For X Standard Passouts
4,62,527 seats for higher studies in various streams will be arranged for to benefit X std passouts, said Minister V Sivankutty. Of these, 3,61,307 seats are available across higher secondary schools, 33,000 in vocational schools, 47,140 in it is and 19,080 in various Polytechs, the minister said.
