Thiruvananthapuram : RSS gang attacks house of Deshabhimani correspondent and SFI Area Secretary, Sanjay Suresh, injuring four persons - Sanjay, his mother Asha, RSS, SFI District President MA Nandan and Area President SL Revand.
The incident took place 11:30 pm Friday night. When Sanjay and MA Nandan reached home, a gang of 25 RSS members waiting around started to attack them. Sanjay’s mother Asha, who came out hearing the commotion, too was beaten with helmet. She also sustained knife wounds to her hand. The attack was carried out using crowbar, knife and helmet.
SL Revand had rushed to the scene hearing of the attack and was assaulted up on arrival. All four injured were admitted to General Hospital. Following the incident, Vanchiyoor police took five RSS workers into custody.
CPI(M) District Secretary V Joy MLA, Karshaka Sangham Stte President M Viayakumar and MLA Kadakampally Surendran visited all four at the hospital early this morning.
