RSS Gang Hacks CPI(M) Worker To Death In Kannur

Kannur : A gang of RSS men hacked to death a CPI(M) worker in Kannur. Killed early this morning was 54-year-old Haridas, a fish worker from Punol Korambi.

Haridas left for work at shop Sunday noon and was on his way back this  morning when the gang ambushed him in front of his home.  The gang lay in wait around his home and caught up as he approached. Together, they hacked him several times.

Neighbours rushed to the scene on hearing Haridas's screams and quickly transported him to the hospital, but, it was too late to save him. A leg severed from the body was abandoned by the assailants a short distance from the crime scene. Haridas has deep wounds all over his body.

Haridas is son of Late Falgunan and Chitrangi. Wife Mini. Children : Chinnu, Nandana. Son-in-law- Kalesh. Siblings : Harindran, Surendran(auto driver), Suresh(CPIM Punol Este Branch member), Sujith, Suchitra.

The body has been moved to Pariyaram Medical College. The slaying was carried out with knowledge of RSS leadership, said CPI(M) Kannur Jilla Secretary MV Jayarajan and demanded that all those guilty of this pre-mediated murder should be dealt with stringently.
