Kozhikode : The Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Tuesday found Sarita S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, the two key accused in Solar scam, guilty of fraud.
Biju Radhakrishnan is first accused in the case and Sarita, second. The sentencing will be pronounced at 3pm, this afternoon.
The Case
In 2012, Biju and Sarita swindled Rs 42.7 lakh from Kozhikode businessman, Abdul Majeed, promising to install solar panels at “Hajjar House” in St. Vincent Colony, and his residence and offices. The duo further promised Majeed franchise of their windmill project. None of these materialised nor did Majeed get back his money.
Biju Radhakrishnan was not present at the hearing.
